Alabama Health Improvement Initiative
In March 2008, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama released a 
Special Bulletin announcing a new statewide physician quality and rewards program called the Alabama Health Improvement Initiative. The Alabama Health Improvement Initiative (AHII) focuses to unite the efforts of employers, healthcare providers, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in a collaborative approach to reward physicians who demonstrate superior outcomes for their patients.
