Hospice Policies

Blue Advantage does not provide benefits for hospice services rendered for a terminal illness. Members should be referred to a Medicare-certified hospice. Traditional Medicare will pay for hospice services provided. The member may still receive care that is unrelated to the terminal condition through Blue Advantage.
