New Payment Methodology
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is transitioning to the Resource Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS), a nationally recognized methodology used to develop consistent pricing for procedures and services. In addition, fragmented coding edits developed by Blue Cross will be replaced by the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI).
