Environment: Reduce Waste by Recycling Plastic Water Bottles
Source: Greatist

By The Greatist Team

This year, invest in a reusable water bottle (or at least a recycling bin).

The United States uses 50 billion plastic water bottles each year, and only about 20 percent of them end up in the recycling bin. This year, commit to recycling right after you finish hydrating — or better yet, ditch the disposable ones in favor of a reusable one. (Filling up is free!)

Best Buy:

Want to help reduce the amount of plastic bottles that end up in landfills? Don’t buy them in the first place!

Sip Safely:

Choose a water bottle without BPAs to avoid downing unhealthy chemicals along with your H20.

Customers should always refer to their benefit booklet or call the customer service number on the back of their identification card for detailed coverage information and limitations. See our legal disclaimer for more details.
