To help manage treatment-related nausea and vomiting, try these tips:

Drink slowly and chew your food well.

If not properly managed, infections can lead to serious health issues. Here are some simple tips to help you stay healthy:

  • Avoid crowds and wash your hands often.
  • Drink enough fluids and eat plenty of protein.
  • Keep a thermometer on hand and know how to use it.
  • Contact your healthcare provider if your temperature is over 100.5°F.
  • Stay away from people who are sick.
  • Talk to your healthcare provider if you notice signs of mouth sores.
