Know Where to Go:
Get the Right Care at the Right Time
Learn how understanding your care options helps improve health outcomes!
Your primary care provider (PCP) takes care of your non-emergency health issues that are not life-threatening. If you need care after regular hours, on weekends or during holidays, your PCP can tell you where to go. But if you’re in severe pain or facing a life-threatening situation, call 911 or go to the emergency room right away.
Have questions about your medical options? Call us today at 1-888-759-2764, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Central Time to speak with a BlueCare Health Advisor. We’re here to help!

Find a Provider
To find in-network providers, visit FIND A PROVIDER or use the
Alabama Blue mobile app. If you have questions, call the Customer Service number on the back of your Blue Cross member ID card.
Be informed about your healthcare options and take charge of your health when it matters most.
The out-of-pocket costs are dependent on how the facility or provider submits the claim to Blue Cross. Benefits are subject to terms, limitations, and conditions of your plan. Please refer to your benefit booklet for a complete listing of your plan benefits.
The examples provided are for illustrative purposes only. Some conditions that are severe may require you to go directly to the emergency room.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama encourages you to consult with your physician regarding the appropriate care for your condition and not put the cost as the first or sole reason for choosing a provider.
