Blue Advisor

The Blue Advisor program helps members navigate the complex healthcare system. Our health advisors work with members and their covered dependents to answer questions, resolve problems and research issues related to a variety of healthcare needs.

Here are a few things our health advisors do for our members:

• Locate and research treatment options for complex medical conditions
• Explore community options for support groups, assisted living homes, and other local programs for you and your immediate family members
• Recommend programs and services available to you by your employer
• Provide preventive service reminders (in accordance with your benefit plan)
• Assist with the certification process
• Coordinate the transfer of medical records
• Answer questions about consumer-driven accounts
• Research hospital and doctor billing issues

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama partners with employers to offer Blue Advisor at no additional charge to members.
