Be Healthy School Grants 2013
Recipients
In our commitment to help prevent childhood obesity, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama’s Be Healthy School Grant Program supports schools throughout Alabama. The grants are for the implementation of school-based health and wellness programs, emphasizing increased exercise, nutrition education and parental involvement during the school year.
During the school year 2013 – 2014 Blue Cross awarded grants totaling $197,515 to 22 schools throughout the state. The participating schools were:
